On my way to Seville last month, I spent a few hours at Vila Real de Santo Antonio just a couple of miles from Spain, this is a far less known and commercial place in the Algarve compared to Albufeira, Vilamoura, Praia da Rocha and other major tourist destinations, this is however a typical portuguese wonder waiting to be discovered and with so much on offer, local history and culture, white sandy beaches with warmer water temperature and a proper portuguese gastronomy, photos included were taken on the 18th of July, please click the last one to find out about the Royal Square, last two images on this selection, also please see link below for further information on the region
