SOUTHAMPTON second largest Container Port in the UK

SOUTHAMPTON is not just about Cruise Ships and Liners, the port is the second busiest Container Terminal in the UK after Felixstowe, the Port is operated by DP WORLD. The Port of Southampton is quite unique, apart from the sheltered location it has double tides allowing the largest ships in the World, Passenger and Cargo vessels to access the Port eighty percent of the time. Maritime Photography at Calshot beach

Calshot is one of my favourite places for Maritime Photography, normally I make the journey from Northern England to capture Cruise Ships but for me everything that floats deserves a photo, small boats, sailing boats, container ships, ferries, the lot. Photos taken between the 14th and the 16th of June 2013
