The beautiful PONT AVEN seen here approaching Santander on the 27th of April, is the flagship of BRITTANY FERRIES. The ship was built in Germany by MEYER WERFT and delivered in February 2004, her maiden voyage was on the 23rd March from Plymouth to Santander. She has a GT of 41.700 tons and a lenght of 184 meters, maximum draught is 6.8 meters, when she was introduced she was destined to set up new standards of passenger ferry travel, she has a total power of 50.400KW capable of propelling the ship to over 28 knots, she is the ideal ship for first time cruising experience, the passenger facilities are similar to a cruise ship and the cuisine definately one to match
