25.9.2012, my first trip with MY FERRY LINK, the ship the M.V. "BERLIOZ" former SEAFRANCE BERLIOZ which I have travelled many times on the Dover/Calais route. This beautiful ship, one of my favourites operating on this service was built by CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE at Saint-Nazaire in 2005. The ship was operated by SEAFRANCE until late last year, BERLIOZ was laid-up in November of 2011 in Calais and remained out of service until August of this year, after EUROTUNNEL acquired the SEAFRANCE ASSETS and put the ships "BERLIOZ", RODIN and NORD-PAS-DE-CALAIS back in service with MY FERRY LINK, the new operators. "BERLIOZ" is 33.796 GRT, has capacity for 1900 passengers and has a top speed of 25 knots. On this trip I have counted four cars on the garage and six passengers using the ships facilities, perfect opportunity to hire the ship and carry on with my photographic duties without disturbing any passengers, on board there are six bars and restaurants, including a Brasserie, boutique and shopping area, a retail space and children's area.
