the SS "REX", dubbed "Riviera Afloat" is one of the most famous liners, she was built in Italy in 1931, she has a top speed of 29 knots which enabled the ship to capture the famous "Blue Riband" from 1933 to 1935 during a westbound crossing, she was a casualty of WWII, please see my CRUISE SHIPS AND LINERS blog for further information on this incredible ship
