Built in Spain in 2001 the "FORTUNY" is 26.912 GRT and has a top speed of 23.5 knots. She is operated by ACCIONA TRASMEDITERRANEA on the Barcelona to the Balearic Islands. This Ferry in 2006 was used on the Portsmouth to Bilbao route but the service didn't last one year, she was at the time competitor to P&O's "PRIDE OF BILBAO", today how things changed, no ACCIONA no P & O, but the service is still guaranteed by BRITTANY FERRIES with the very smart "CAP FINISTERE" better tailored for the service, faster, more comfortable inside and with better facilities for the passengers.
