BRETAGNE underway from Portsmouth last May
"BRETAGNE" is now the oldest Cruise Ferry operated by BRITTANY FERRIES, she was built in France by CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE in 1989, she is most certainly the most popular ship on the fleet, she is operated on the Saint-Malo to Portsmouth route normally from March to November, the ship is seen above underway from Portsmouth, photos taken 20.5.20122. Free Internet at sea on BRITTANY FERRIES Cruise Ferries
WI-FI is now available on BF Cruise Ferries for free, a major bonus for all the passengers travelling on these ships, until the beginning of this month very expensive charges were applied to use the facility. When passengers check-in on the boarding card an internet access code is given, once on board passengers just have to look for "internet at sea" and then use the code. I have tried it on board "BRETAGNE" last monday and it worked fine, best spot on this ship is on deck number 8 just pass the children play area. Photos of "BRETAGNE" arriving Portsmouth, 20.5.2013

Back on board "BRETAGNE"
Yesterday I was back on board the BRITTANY FERRIES "BRETAGNE". This is my first trip on the vessel this year, it is also one of the first BRETAGNE's voyages to Saint-Malo, the ship was laid-up at Dunkirk since November last year and resumed service only on the 29th of March. For me it's always a pleasure to step aboard this beautiful Cruise Ferry and she never disappoints, apart from looking immaculate all the time, her passengers really love her, she is a true ship providing a unique atmosphere. Photos taken at Portsmouth yesterday evening.

"VAL DE LOIRE" once again remembered
I was reading the January 2012 issue of the SHIPS MONTHLY, there is a special focus on the DFDS cruise ferry "KING SEAWAYS", all the wonderful memories of the ship as the "VAL DE LOIRE" came to mind once again, I have sailed 57 times on the BF cruise ferry, in the latter years that the ship served BF for me was like going home, I would always get the best table on the restaurant, visit the engine room, bridge and at the end of a 24 hour crossing I used to address the crew with a .... " see you next week " . Never sailed on "KING SEAWAYS" but knowing the reputation and quality of DFDS service, I am absolutely confident that the ship is in very good hands. My photos of the VAL DE LOIRE and a DFDS promoting postcard of the KING SEAWAYS with present livery, to travel on the ship from the UK to Ijmuiden in HOLLAND please visit www.dfds.co.uk and for other posts and photos of the VAL DE LOIRE please visit my BF blog, http://vmf-brittanyferries.blogspot.com
