Cruise Ferries at Dover on a beautiful summer's day

Dover was a very busy port today, for the majority of people the holidays are over but still and a lot to do with the beautiful warm sunny day in the region today, there's a "getting away from it all" feeling on board the cruise ferries, I was travelling on the "PRIDE OF BURGUNDY" and still a lot of passengers going for their holidays, some travelling with motorhomes and caravans are now going to warmer climates before winter settles in the UK. Fantastic to see so many activity keeping personnel and ships so busy. Photos 4.9.2012

The town of VELEZ RUBIO in the province of ALMERIA

During my last trip to Spain back in July, I was travelling through ANDALUCIA my favourite Spanish community, I needed a cash point, so VELEZ RUBIO in the province of Almeria was the nearest option, very early in the morning 9 am, already 33 degrees decided to stop and seek my objective, what a delight of town this place turned out to be, immaculate, clean, lovely people so common of this part of Spain, spend a couple of hours visiting the main attraction, the Church of "Ntra Sra de La Encarnacion, taking photographs and of course sharing a few words with locals, almost forgot about the cash point. ANDALUCIA is the most populous autonomous community in Spain, the territory is devided into eight provinces, ALMERIA,CADIZ,CORDOBA,GRANADA,HUELVA,JAEN,MALAGA and SEVILLE. Photos taken 21.7.2012

"PRIDE OF BURGUNDY" at sea

P & O FERRIES "PRIDE OF BURGUNDY" is seen here at sea on her way to Dover, photos taken 16.6.2012 from the "DEAL SEAWAYS" operated at the moment by DFDS but soon on her way back to her owners, BRITTANY FERRIES to re-start the Poole/Cherbourg route. The Dover/Calais crossing despite being a 90 minutes trip is a fantastic voyage for ships enthusiasts to photograph particulary cruise ferries, always plenty of options available, the newly formed MY FERRY LINK is the latest addition to this route and a subject for future posts on this blog. "PRIDE OF BURGUNDY" was built in 1993 and has a GRT of 28.138.

Returning home on board "SPIRIT OF BRITAIN"

Photos taken 29.7.2012 during my trip on the "SPIRIT OF BRITAIN" returning home from another business adventure, I call it an adventure because the way the economical climate is at the moment in Europe, business becomes an adventure as the majority of the countries are struggling. Images departing the port of Calais, at sea and arriving Dover
