"SOROLLA" is owned and operated by ACCIONA/TRASMEDITERRANEA on the Barcelona to the Balearic Islands, the ship was built in Spain by ASTILLEROS BARRERAS at Vigo in 2001, she is 26.916 GRT. Photos Barcelona 4.7.2012
Fascinating little ship. It was supposed to do a charter tour of Europe in support of the Turkish EU membership bid last spring (visiting, amongst other places, Helsinki) but nothing came of it. Very interesting to see photos of it.
the other day an FB friend asked me the question if this ship was chartered to help promoting TURKEY to join the EU and I didn't know, so you've clarified me and answered the question, really glad you follow my blogs, a major plus...... thank you
