Port of Calais on a summer's day

Calais was a very warm place last Saturday, summer tends to skip this part of the country, so locals are making the most of this enjoyable weather, for the Cruise Ferries is business as usual, photos here included were taken from CALAIS SEAWAYS, SPIRIT OF BRITAIN just arrived, PRIDE OF KENT departing and BERLIOZ taking on passengers and freight, getting ready for another crossing to Dover, 6.7.2013

Chester on a beautiful summer's day

Tomorrow I will be returning to my business trips abroad, so today in order to make the most of this beautiful summer's day decided to go to Chester, easy one of the most spectacular cities I have ever visited, we always get amazed with the amount of people visiting Chester, from locals to thousands of people coming from Wales for shopping and tourism, together with people from all over the World this enchanting city is hard to beat for its atmosphere, culture and history. What to do in Chester, well the list is endless, today we decided to walk along the river where cruise boats take passengers for two different cruises, one with the duration of 30 minutes, the other one a longer cruise that lasts approximately two hours and a half. The second choice for today, was to visit the GROSVENOR MUSEUM a must visit for those with a particular interest of exploring Chester's amazing history, the admission is free. BRETAGNE underway from Portsmouth last May

"BRETAGNE" is now the oldest Cruise Ferry operated by BRITTANY FERRIES, she was built in France by CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE in 1989, she is most certainly the most popular ship on the fleet, she is operated on the Saint-Malo to Portsmouth route normally from March to November, the ship is seen above underway from Portsmouth, photos taken 20.5.20122.
