Canguro-Class TRASMEDITERRANEA Ferries in the 80's
We travel back in time to the early 80's, place Barcelona, photos of Canguro-Class TRASMEDITERRANEA Ferries, lovely ships that I really enjoyed photographing all those years ago. Please click to enlarge.
An interesting piece of trivia from the book about the history of the Finnish Thom shipping companies is that in the late 70s, one of the Ybarra Line Canguros was due to be sold to Thomesto (as the Finnish company was known at the time) for the purpose on being used on Olau Line's cross-Channel service. Thomesto was also due to acquire 50% of Olau, but sadly both plans came to naught.
