"Ocean Training ship " CREOULA in Lisbon




Seen here arriving Lisbon is the beautiful Sail Training Ship "CREOULA", built in 1937 for the cod fishing expeditions in the north of Newfoundland, CREOULA was in active service until 1973, after a long period of being laid-up a decision was made to recover the ship and transform her into a sail training vessel, she was handed over to the Portuguese Ministry of Defence in June of 1987.
